BRUSH TRANSFORMERS AND BRUSH TRANSFORMERS GULF EXHIBIT POWER TRANSFORMER TECHNOLOGY AT ADIPEC 2008

22 November 2008

Brush Transformers (BTL) joined forces with Brush Transformers Gulf (BTG) to participate at Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference that was held in Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) between the 3rd and 6th November 2008.

A record 37,000 industry personnel passed through the doors of ADNEC to visit some of the 1500 companies exhibiting at the show. Other VIP’s present amongst the ADIPEC attendees included GCC Energy Ministers from the UAE, Bahrain and Oman, Sheikhs, International Ministers and dignitaries. Attendees came from 89 countries making this the most international event ever.

Ramakrishna Gogineni, BTG Sales & Marketing Manager said, "ADIPEC is an excellent opportunity to showcase the Brush Transformers Power Transformer range which is built as per stringent oil and gas industry requirements. Brush Transformers Team exchanged views with leaders of the petroleum industry, current customers, prospective clients, international EPC contractors, producers and exploration companies – government agencies."

The participation of such a large-scale exhibition provided a good platform for Brush Transformers to display its intent to enhance its position within the oil and gas segment of the Power Transformer market.

Brush manufacture power transformers to meet the individual needs of their customers designing transformers to comply with customer specified; loss levels, noise levels, impedance envelopes, tapping ranges, termination requirements, limiting dimensions etc. These power transformers can be manufactured to comply with British standards, IEC international standards or American ANSI standards along with requirements specified by individual clients.

Brush Transformers manufacture mineral oil filled transformers for systems with a highest system voltage of 145kV up to a maximum naturally cooled rating of 60MVA. Higher ratings can be obtained by addition of forced air and forced oil cooling systems.

Where required Brush are also able to supply transformers with alternative cooling systems such as forced air cooled/forced oil cooled and water cooled using water filled heat exchangers.

For 33kV systems Brush manufacture power transformers using alternative cooling fluids such as Midel and FR3, where transformers are either located inside buildings giving rise to issues related to increase fire risk or where there are environmental concerns.

Brush Transformers supply a comprehensive range of

transformers for a range of applications;

System transformers for the UK, overseas utility network operators and many private network operators.

Generator Step up transformers for use with; hydro-electric generation schemes, gas turbine generator stations and CHP plants.

Grid connection transformers for wind generation schemes

Power transformers for industrial applications, traction systems, petrochemical projects, offshore oil and gas

production facilities and special applications.

Series current limiting reactors for industrial applications.

Motor unit transformers for industrial applications and petrochemical plants.

Rectifier transformers for traction systems.
